Teamworks just seems like such a great word for what I do, and I like the (not very sophisticated) game you can play with it - Teamwork, and The Team Works.

 

If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, then the idea came from the Royal Navy, whose tag line was The Team Works. So that's where it came from, as did I. 17 years in the submarine service, qualifying to command nuclear submarines and commanding a ship before moving into industry in 2003.

 

I had 3 1/2 years running a division of a business, including a rapid strategic review and renewed strategic direction when the industry was massively impacted by technology.

 

In 2007, I set up my own business providing consulting and development services to businesses based on creating effective working cultures, focusing on aligning the management, the staff and the processes.

 

Alongside this, my continuing work, I spent 2 years setting up a new business supporting those from the Armed Forces who wanted to set up their own companies.  When I moved on early in 2015, we had launched over 350 of them, and the business continues to go from strength to strength.

I spent 2017 to mid-2019 leading a programme to build a Programme Management Office for a global software company. 

 

With a passion for unleashing the natural talent in people, I continue to look for opportunities to support businesses large and small in creating great businesses through their great culturesto ensure they deliver their true potential in a commercially astute way while not losing their compassionate side.
